Usually formulations of an NSAID (e.g., diclofenac gel).

Dosage

  • Usually applied sparingly twice daily directly to local area of pain and/or inflammation.

Principle Indications

  • Regional pain syndromes
  • Diffuse pain syndromes
  • Degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis)

Comments

May cause skin irritation.
