Dr. Davis received his medical training at the University
of Bristol, England, qualifying in 1969. He pursued post-graduate
training in internal medicine and rheumatology before
accepting a position at the University of Alberta in 1975.
For the next 12 years he was actively involved in clinical
practice, teaching and research. Supported by The Arthritis
Society, he undertook research in the mechanism of action
of antirheumatic drugs and the detection and clinical
application of anti-nuclear antibodies. Following a sabbatical
at the University of Zimbabwe in 1987, he returned to
Alberta and accepted the position of Associate Dean of
Medicine. This portfolio includes responsibility for continuing
medical education (CME), health sciences media services
and telehealth. His current interests include the development
of new interactive CME program formats and methods of
performing needs assessments, and evaluating the impact
of CME interventions. |
