- Married
- Fever (39ºC) for past two days
- Healthy in the past and rarely goes
to a doctor
- For three days, with no history of
trauma, his right knee has been getting progressively
more painful and affecting his sleep
- He went to emergency yesterday and had an x-ray,
which was normal
- He has been taking TYLENOL*(acetaminophen) with codeine as
directed by the doctor at the hospital
- Has come to see his family doctor because he is
not getting any better.
On specific questioning:
- J. recalls an episode of unprotected
sex about 10 days ago while he was out of town
- He had some urethral irritation for
a few days but it went away and he forgot about it.
